Optimum heating and cooling operation according to outdoor conditions

Based on the energy consumption of the heated building, a "heating curve" is set in the system. This is the relationship between the outdoor temperature and the heating water temperature. Correctly set heating curve ensures optimal operation of the heat pump without overheating the heating system. In practice, this means that on warmer days, the water in the heating system is kept cooler and, on the contrary, warmer water on cold days.

Heat pumps with a cooling function have an adjustable cooling curve that indicates the optimum cooling water temperature based on the outdoor temperature.

Hot water heating

The heat pump can ensure a constant comfort temperature of hot water. The user has a weekly program to set the desired hot water temperature during the day. Hot water will always be available at the right time and there will be no unnecessary heating, for example at night when hot water consumption is minimal.

If hot water heating is required beyond the heat pump's capacity, the system will use other heat sources.

Of course there is hot water against Legionella bacteria. At regular weekly intervals, the system automatically raises the hot water temperature to more than 60°C to kill bacteria.

The heat pump can independently control individual heating circuits. These can be controlled by thermostats, time programs or automatically.

For each underfloor heating circuit it is possible to adjust the heating curve to achieve maximum comfort with minimum energy consumption.

The heat pump can provide water heating in the pool and filtration operation according to the weekly schedule.

Weekly time programs

The time program is a control device that is used in various heat pump control functions. Its resolution is at 15 minute intervals. The time program can be used in the following functions:

  • Ultra quiet operation of the heat pump at night
  • Operation of circulating pumps of heating circuits
  • Temperature levels in the heating system
  • Levels of hot water heating

Operation of other heat sources

Heat pump operation may be limited by the physical characteristics of the equipment. For example:

  • Very low outside temperature
  • Very high outside temperature
  • Very low water temperature
  • Very high water temperature

In these cases, the heat pump automatically controls other heat sources to maintain comfort.

Heat pumps have an open Modbus TCP protocol, which is provided to designers of superior intelligent building systems. All the usual functions of the heat pump can be controlled via the protocol.

Heat pumps are equipped with an Internet connection. The heat pump controller is a network device with its own IP address. Remote connection to the heat pump can be realized even without a public IP address. The web interface of the heat pump can then be viewed in a web browser. This connection can be made from a computer, laptop, tablet, smartphone, etc. The service technician can remotely set up, check and diagnose the system. You can control the operating status of the heat pump or control it directly wherever you are.

Effective defrost system

Effective defrost system

Based on many years of experience of our development team and many measurements in a special test facility, our own defrosting algorithm has been developed. By using a hydrophilic evaporator surface, we achieve perfect condensate drainage. Optimization of the defrost rate and duration is reflected in the efficient operation of the heat pump.

Ecodesign and energy labels

Energy labels are known from light bulbs, televisions, refrigerators and washing machines. They are based on the Ecodesign Directive, which is valid in the European Union. Such labeling should at first glance show the actual energy efficiency of the product, serve to compare equipment with each other and force manufacturers and distributors to develop even more efficient systems. Energy efficiency labels provide good guidance. However, you should not make a decision to purchase a new heating only by labeling. Heating systems are complicated and their efficiency is influenced not only by individual products, but also by perfect matching of all components.

Energy label for heat pumps

Labels use grouping by letters and colors. The evaluation of heat pumps for heating is carried out by classification into ten efficiency classes. A +++ is considered to be the best energy efficiency class and G denotes devices with significantly worse performance. The energy efficiency classes for heat pumps are determined on the basis of the annual SCOP. This depends on both the climate area and the potential heating system.
