SPLIT design is the most technically advanced air-water heat pump system. The main components (compressor, plate capacitor and control system) are not exposed to adverse environmental conditions, significantly increasing the overall service life of the equipment. Of course there is the use of an electronically controlled expansion valve (EEV), which is part of the outdoor unit. The EEV increases heat pump efficiency and operational reliability. Thanks to a precisely controlled defrosting process, the heat pumps are able to provide the constant power required.
The PZP SPLIT heat pump is a heating (cooling) system consisting of two parts:
The external part - the evaporator of the heat pump - is installed outside the heated building in the open air. Air flow through the evaporator is ensured by an axial ultra-silent fan with blades in the form of owl wings with the possibility of speed control and noise reduction, for example in night operation. Also included is an electronic expansion valve.
Inner part - is placed in a suitable interior space. The inner part contains a compressor, a refrigerant condenser and other parts of the cooling circuit, including electrical wiring and a heat pump control system with a control panel.
Both parts of the heat pump are connected by the refrigerant piping and the necessary wiring during assembly. Thanks to the split design, there is no need to freeze, because the outdoor unit is carrying refrigerant and not heating water.
Revolutionary solution of defrost system for PZP heat pumps
Compared to conventional heat pumps, the defrost time has been reduced by up to half thanks to:
- patented technical defrost solution
- horizontally placed evaporator, from which frost drips faster
- evaporators made of high quality copper tubes with aluminum slats, which are additionally covered with a hydrophilic water repellent coating
- EEV technology - use of electronically controlled expansion valve
